My Statement At First Candidates Meeting
Gary Andre’s Candidate Statement on 11-27-2007
Hello, my name is Gary Andre, just to let you know I’m in full support of Wildomar becoming it’s own city. Disabled since 1999, with a lot of time on my hands, I became a full time Wildomar volunteer in 2002, working countless hours day and night with others for the betterment of our community.

In October 2002 I designed a comprehensive multi-use trail map for Wildomar that was added to the Counties General plan in 2003. We now have several miles of trails that are opened today and more in the planning process.

In 2003 I got involved and became co-chair of Wildomar Land Development Review. Which is a full time job in it’s self, in dealing with the county on wanted and unwanted developments within our community. I am pro-development, but the development in which I am apposed too, is unnecessary higher density zone changes that encroach into our ranch community, our medium density urban communities and our commercial and business park zones, were high density zone changes are not wanted. When the zoning map clearly shows the higher density zoning areas within Wildomar. If elected I believe we need to stick with our approved general plan and limit zone changes to a minimum with the essential use of community input.

This is our city not the just the city councils. We will need your help in building and designing our new city. In 2005 Bob Buster appointed me to the Riverside County Trail Committee. At that time I was asked to help re-map the 1st districts, thousand miles of Multi-use trails. This was completed in 2007

My Qualifications 1. 27+ years in the construction industry. 2. Retired: Masonry contractor 3. 8 certifications as a building inspector which I’m in the process of renewing. 4. Graduate Masters Vocational college in Cad Design and mapping in 2005. 5. Chairman Butterfield Multi-use trails Inc. 6. Co-Chair Wildomar Land Development Review. 7. Member Riverside County trail committee.

If elected I will devote my continuing full time service, in building a city in which we all can be proud of. A self supporting city, with out raising taxes. Thank You.
